Transparency is a symbolic element for us that reflects our understanding of openness, honesty and quality. It shapes every aspect of our work and our products.

This attitude is now also reflected in our new building: through a glazed wall between office and production, we create true transparency. This allows our entire team to interact with each other while we work, and gives visitors a glimpse into our production processes. This open design promotes collaboration and the flow of information between the different departments and allows everyone to experience the creation process of our handmade bordbar products up close.

Additionally, we have set up a spacious showroom where we present our bordbar products and novelties. The showroom offers everyone the opportunity to experience our unique bordbars up close and be inspired by their design and functionality.

bordbar & Aviationtag

In 2015, Stephan Boltz, the managing director, had the vision to give decommissioned aircraft a new life. This is how Aviationtag was born as a product of the company. In this process, historic, decommissioned aircraft are carefully dismantled in order to reuse their outer skin as collector's items, key rings and luggage tags. Each Aviationtag is a one-of-a-kind piece of aviation history in a handy pocket size that has seen a multitude of takeoffs, landings and thousands of air miles. The tags are strictly limited and come with a serial number and aircraft information.

The close connection between Aviationtag and bordbar is that the materials for the Aviationtags come from decommissioned aircraft and are processed at bordbar's production facility in Cologne. There, careful disassembly of the aircraft is done by hand, followed by cutting, punching, polishing and precise laser engraving, where all relevant data is applied. This upcycling process turns the aircraft aluminum into a fascinating piece of aviation history.
