bordbar’s debut at the Salone del Mobile in Milan coincided with the anniversary and 60th edition of the world’s leading design and furniture fair. After being cancelled twice in the wake of corona and a heavily streamlined version of the fair last year, this year’s Salone once again attracted great interest.
Braving temperatures of over 30°, exhibitors, dealers, architects, designers and design fans from all over the world gathered in the design metropolis again.
The sector’s leading trade fair welcomed a total of 262,000 visitors from 173 countries in 2022 - in the city there were even 400,000 visitors in total, who also attended the numerous events, exhibitions and previews in the city centre.
After numerous appearances at IMM in Cologne and Maison & Objet in Paris, bordbar was one of the debutants among international exhibitors, and one of a total of almost 2,100 design labels exhibiting this year.
“After so many trade fair cancellations, we were thrilled to finally be able to connect directly with our partners and new prospective customers again,” says Stephan Boltz, CEO and founder of bordbar.
On a good 80 square metres in Hall 10, bordbar showcased its current catalogue highlights, including the bordbar_voyager, the Lufthansa_Ju-52 and the bordbar X JANUA Hightable.
Alongside the design trolleys, the booth designed by Hoffmann Kahleyss Design also featured pieces from Freifrau, JANUA, Kymo and Pulpo products as the perfect finishing touch.
“Our bordbars were some of the most photographed design objects in the area and got rave reviews from trade visitors and design fans alike,” says Boltz. “This interest is hugely motivating for us and we can’t wait for the next Salone del Mobile in April 2023.”
